Club training started last night with over 30 players in attendance. This was encouraging to see for a midweek session. It was great to see so many minors there. It has been a long time since we had so many joining the adult ranks and this bears well for the year ahead.
The session itself was a well organised , intense workout which was needed to shake off the cobwebs.
It was a good start to the year but the same effort must be consistant for the whole season.
The days of 7,8,or 9 players at training should now be a thing of the past. Training with large numbers always makes it more enjoyable and it makes selectors jobs a lot harder which is something that is needed in this club.
Competition for places is vital for a successful team. No player will have the luxury of security if everyone makes the effort.
Again another good turn out last night with 34 training. The session was tough but varied. No one was left behind which is a good sign early on.
Keep up the good work
Another good session yesterday morning.
It was also a milestone for the club being that it was the 1st training session on the new community field.
While it was a hurling session , a lot of physical work was done in conjunction with the ball work.
Good to have Peter Power back even if the jokes haven't changed.
